39th Capping Ceremony for first year GNM Students 

The Ramakrishna Mission Hospital School of Nursing, Itanagar, organised 39th Capping Ceremony for the First-Year GNM students; on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the professional journey of the nursing students, symbolizing their commitment to compassionate and ethical healthcare service. The programme was graced by Sri Biyuram WagheJi, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Water Resources, as the Chief Guest; Swami DayamurtyanandaJi Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Haridwar, as the Guest of Honour; and Smt. Techi MemaJi, Corporator, Ward No. 4, Itanagar Municipal Corporation, as the Special Guest. The dignitaries, in their addresses, highlighted the noble role of nurses, the values of selfless service, and the importance of professionalism and empathy in healthcare.

On this occasion, Sri Biyuram WagheJi, was presented a Memorandum to seek support for the upgradation of the RKMH School of Nursing from GNM to a B.Sc. Nursing College. The programme concluded with the felicitation of eleven meritorious students, who were awarded scholarships in recognition of their exemplary academic achievements, personality and conduct. This was followed by a brief cultural presentation by the students and lunch for all attendees. Apart from 55 students and 6 teachers, the programme was attended by 75 hospital staff members and a few parents.
