Inauguration of Four Dialysis Machines at Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar

Four new dialysis machines were inaugurated at the Dialysis Department of Ramakrishna Mission Hospital Itanagar on 17 March 2026. The machines were provided under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of The New India Assurance Company Limited, Mumbai, significantly strengthening the hospital’s dialysis services.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Smt. Nyamen Jini, representative of the company. Also present on the occasion was Dr P. D. Thongchi, Deputy Director-cum-State TB Officer, along with monastic members, doctors, nurses, and staff of the hospital.

Speakers on the occasion highlighted that the addition of these dialysis machines will enhance treatment capacity and benefit patients from Itanagar and other parts of Arunachal Pradesh who require regular dialysis care. The hospital authorities expressed their sincere gratitude to The New India Assurance Company Limited for their generous support in strengthening healthcare facilities in the region.

On 30th May 2025, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu Ji and Hon'ble Health & Family Welfare Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Sri Biyuram Wahge Ji inaugurated a New Pharmacy Outlet and a Digital Office for Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana(CMAAY) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana(PM-JAY) at Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar. These initiatives aim to enhance equitable and high-quality healthcare access in the state. A commemorative public meeting also was held on this occasion. Both leaders emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to healthcare reform and infrastructure developments. The event also featured the presentation of Annual Employee Performance Awards and Departmental Recognitions to outstanding hospital staff. Over 200 people, including monks, Managing Committee members, and healthcare professionals, attended the ceremony. The occasion highlighted the collaborative efforts to improve healthcare services in Arunachal Pradesh.
